Maritime Music Festival
Nine maritime music groups from four countries and the US will descend upon Bay City for the "Festival within the Festival." The Maritime Music Festival will feature 62 performances by internationally acclaimed musicians throughout Tall Ship Celebration. Free Concerts
Tall Ship Celebration is pleased to host two free concerts in the World Friendship Shell amphitheater in Wenonah Park. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.; performances begin at 7:00 p.m. Lawn seating only; bring a lawn chair or blanket.
On Thursday, July 20 an ensemble group of the Fretted Instrument Guild of America will take the stage with four-string Dixieland banjos, mandolins, ukuleles and guitars. (Members from around the world are meeting at the Doubletree Hotel & Conference Center in Bay City and want to join in the Tall Ship fun.) On Friday, July 21 the "Family Concert for Peace" will feature selections from Movies, Broadway and the Classics performed by the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra. Under the direction of Music Director and Conductor Patrick Flynn, this special performance will include selections from Star Wars, Beauty and the Beast, Fantasia, 1812 and other novelties for the whole family. REO Speedwagon in Concert
The Bay Arts Council along with sponsors Graff Chevrolet and Prime Brothers Furniture are proud to present REO Speedwagon in concert on Saturday, July 22nd. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. On one day only-Saturday, May 20th-tickets will be available for only $10 each (limit 10 per person). Mariner's Ball
The "Closing Ceremonies" of Tall Ship Celebration, the Mariner's Ball brings crew, guests and volunteers together one last time before the ships leave Bay City. Good food, refreshments and foot-stomping, skirt-twirling folk music that will have you out of your chair. (Fee)
